Waitlist privacy

Effective September 15, 2026

This notice covers the Another Feather waitlist, operated by Brian Braithwaite in California, United States. The dating app is in development; this notice does not describe a live dating service.

What we collect and why

We collect your email, confirmation that you are at least 18, consent to receive waitlist emails, signup time, and the notice version you accepted. We use these to manage the waitlist and send requested launch news and early-test invitations.

If you choose to answer the optional reading question alongside your email or the follow-up questions, we save your city, reading genres or tropes, favorite books or authors, and the answer date with your email. These help us choose launch locations and plan features. They are not public profiles. We do not treat fictional reading interests as statements of sexual preferences. Please do not enter sensitive personal details into the book field.

When you sign up through a tagged link, we also save campaign labels and ad identifiers from that page address with your signup to understand which promotions bring readers to the waitlist. Untagged visits remain unattributed. We do not save arbitrary page queries or advertising click identifiers in your waitlist record.

Storage and service providers

Waitlist records are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database. They are not publicly visible. Authorized operators and hosting service providers, including Cloudflare and the Sites hosting platform, process information to operate and support the website. For new signups, Resend forwards your email address, signup time, and record ID to our private operator inbox so we know you joined. Optional reading answers are not included in these alerts. Contact emails and signup alerts are processed by our email provider. Hosting infrastructure may process technical details such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs for delivery and security.

To limit automated requests, our application temporarily stores a keyed hash derived from your network address, a request count, and an expiration time. It does not store the raw address in the waitlist table. Expired counters are removed during later requests. Short-lived random tokens allow the current signup session to save optional answers; only their hashes are stored.

Optional Meta and TikTok advertising tracking

Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel load only after you choose Allow advertising tracking. A previous TikTok-only permission does not enable Meta tracking; we ask again before enabling Meta. They measure page visits and completed waitlist signups to help us understand and improve our advertising. Meta and TikTok receive event time, page address, IP address, browser and device information, and advertising identifiers or cookies. Meta and TikTok may use this information for ad measurement and personalized advertising. We do not send your email, city, favorite books, reading answers, or age confirmation to Meta or TikTok. Automatic Advanced Matching and enhanced data postback are disabled.

You can decline and still join the waitlist. Use Advertising privacy choices on any page to change your choice. Declining stops future pixel loading; it does not undo information already sent to Meta or TikTok. We honor Global Privacy Control by disabling this tracking. We store your choice in this browser's local storage. Browser Do Not Track is not used as a separate consent signal. TikTok's privacy policy explains its data practices and controls. See also Meta privacy policy.

We do not sell your email or reading answers. If you opt in, sharing advertising events with Meta or TikTok may be considered sharing for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Email confirmation

We send a confirmation link through Resend to verify that you own your email address. Links expire after 24 hours. We store a hash of the link token, its expiry, confirmation time, and delivery-attempt counters to prevent abuse. Unconfirmed addresses are not enrolled in welcome emails. Existing signups are not automatically marked verified. Resend processes your email address and confirmation message to deliver it.

Member offers and welcome emails

After email confirmation, we record your member number and early-member offer. To prevent duplicate claims, we also store a hash of your normalized email address. Gmail aliases for the same mailbox receive one offer. We share your email address, confirmation time, member number, and offer with Instantly to manage the welcome email and replies. We do not send your optional reading answers or location to Instantly. You can opt out by replying unsubscribe to a welcome email.

Your choices

Optional questions may be skipped. For a copy, correction, deletion, or to stop waitlist emails, contact anotherfeather2027@gmail.com. Send the request from the address you used if possible; we may need to confirm ownership before disclosing, changing, or deleting a record. Marketing emails will include an unsubscribe option. Confirmed members may receive a welcome email inviting feedback and sharing the waitlist.

Retention and security

We keep waitlist information while it is needed to manage the waitlist and requested communications. You can request removal at any time. We will review whether records are still needed if launch plans change or the waitlist closes. Limited records may be retained where necessary to honor opt-outs or meet legal obligations; hosting backups and logs follow the providers’ retention processes.

We use HTTPS, restricted database access, input validation, and request controls. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Adults only

This waitlist is for people 18 and older. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us so we can remove it.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here with a revised effective date and give notice of material changes before using existing information for a materially different purpose. Questions: Brian Braithwaite, California, United States — anotherfeather2027@gmail.com.
